From enrolment to final exams: UWB launches a new app

Students University

Want to keep your timetable, exam registrations, grades, and credits under control? No problem with the UWB app. Students at the university can now have their entire studies at their fingertips anytime, anywhere, along with the latest news from UWB delivered straight to their mobile devices.

It won’t take your exams for you or bring you lunch, but otherwise, it can handle almost everything. The new UWB app is a fully fledged study assistant that will gradually replace the IS/STAG mobile app. It is designed for all students at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, whether they have just started their first year or are completing their PhD.

Had a long night and aren’t sure what classes you have coming up? Just check your phone, and you’ll know. The app gives you full control over your timetable, while also showing the dates of your exams and credits and, for example, whether you have already submitted a term paper. All neatly organized semester by semester, with access to your previous semesters as well. The UWB app also shows how many credits you have earned and lets you easily check your current grade average.

Haven’t registered for your exams yet, but want to? You don’t need to spend ages browsing the internet or, for that matter, go anywhere in person. You can easily register directly through the new app. And there’s more: if you tried to register for an exam date, but other students got there first, and there’s no place left for you, don’t despair. With the UWB app, you can sign up as an alternate. If a place becomes available, the app will automatically register you for the selected exam and send you a notification.

Push notifications won’t just keep you informed about timetable changes. The app will also alert you to upcoming deadlines, selected university events, emergencies, and other extraordinary situations. If you don’t want to receive notifications, you can easily disable them on your device. With the exception of safety-related notifications, all alerts can be turned off this way.

Just like your life, the new UWB app isn’t only about studying. That’s why you’ll also find menus for both of Pilsen’s student cafeterias, showing the meals available today and tomorrow. But it’s not just about keeping your stomach full: the app also offers an overview of various cultural and other university events. Alongside invitations, you’ll find all kinds of information about what’s happening at your faculty and across other UWB faculties. What’s more, you can have all dates, from entertainment to exams, added directly to your personal calendar.

Have a class in a building and don’t know where to find it? Looking for a particular cafeteria, library, or faculty building? Once again, just open the new UWB app. You’ll find everything clearly marked on a map, and with navigation, you can get directions straight to your destination. Find out more about everything the app offers on its official website.

The UWB app is available for download from the Google Play and App Store. Please note that it will gradually replace the current IS/STAG mobile app, which will no longer be available to University of West Bohemia students in Pilsen from the winter semester 2026/2027.
