Religion, knowledge, and education in contemporary societies, and building bridges between academic research and religious institutions. These thematic areas serve as the basis for this international conference. The program reflects existing models of cooperation between the academic community and religious institutions in response to global challenges such as intolerance, extremism, and social division.
The conference, titled
“Interreligious Dialogue in Education and Scientific Research: Prospects and Challenges,” will bring together prominent speakers from the Czech Republic, the United States, Ireland, Egypt, and Algeria
in Prague on Tuesday, April 21. The guest of honor is Cairo University and the Al-Azhar al-Sharif Research Institute. The Department of Middle Eastern and African Studies at the Faculty of Arts of the University of West Bohemia is organizing the conference at the Anglo-American University in Prague;
the program begins at 1:00 p.m.
