Prolínání (Blending) III is another project showcasing the current work of doctoral students at the Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. Young artists view their research as a space for experimentation, critical thinking, and interdisciplinary dialogue. The exhibited works connect visual art with theory, technology, and social issues, raising questions about perception, identity, memory, and the role of the image in the contemporary world.
Anna-Marie Pavelková Mišterová will present her work, which explores the relationship between the photographic image and its verbal interpretation. PhD candidate Tereza Kovářová, meanwhile, works with ornament as a vehicle for meaning and visual structure, in which the personal and cultural dimensions intersect. Michal Poustka explores perception, sensory illusions, and the possibilities of influencing perception through new technologies. Nicole Langrová reflects on the formation of identity among the “digital natives” generation in an intermedia and digital environment. At the same time, Ondřej Líbal focuses on sound as a medium that functions simultaneously as both material and message.
The exhibition will be on display at the Incubator Gallery in the Sutnar Faculty building. The opening will take place on Wednesday, April 14, at 4:00 p.m. The exhibition will remain open until Wednesday, May 13. The curator of the exhibition is Daniela Kramerová.
