What is it like to become a university student for a while? School-age children can try it for themselves at the Faculty of Education of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. From 8 October to 17 December 2026, another edition of the Children’s University will open, offering opportunities to explore, discover, and create.
Every Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., children will experience university life on the premises of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. They can look forward to workshops in natural sciences, technology, humanities and languages, art, and sport. Those who complete at least six courses can also look forward to a graduation ceremony and their first university diploma.
Registration will open on Thursday, 10 September, at 6:00 p.m. at deti.zcu.cz. Places are limited.
The Children’s University has been organized by the Faculty of Education of the University of West Bohemia since 2014. The project is supported by the Pilsen Region, which means participation is free for children.
