Scientific experiments, cutting-edge technologies, interactive games, healthcare demonstrations, and student projects – all this and much more will be on offer at UWB Day in the centre of Pilsen on Thursday, 11 September, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dozens of exhibits will come together in one place, giving visitors the chance to experience science firsthand, discover technological innovations, and explore projects developed at the university’s faculties and research centres. The event builds on the long-standing tradition of the Science and Technology Day.
Children and adults alike can look forward to robot battles, the popular PoseTwister game, a student-designed robotic mission to Mars, an electric formula racing car, and the fascinating world of nanomaterials and plasma technologies. Visitors will also enjoy spectacular physics and chemistry experiments, laser technology demonstrations, and exhibits focused on renewable energy sources. Those eager to get involved can try out a mathematical playground or take part in a science-themed treasure hunt.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to explore fields that help people in everyday life, ranging from paramedicine and rehabilitation to law and the social sciences. Archaeologists and computer scientists are also preparing engaging programmes, with interactive exhibits designed to captivate both children and adults. The event will also showcase e-textiles that combine fashion with electronics, as well as demonstrations of the latest technological innovations developed at the University of West Bohemia.
Further details will be gradually published on the event website and social media channels.
