Young fencers are heading to Pilsen. Students from universities and higher vocational schools across the Czech Republic will test their skills in this Olympic sport on Saturday, 9 May, at the Sokol gymnasium in Petřín. The venue will host the 6th round of the University Fencing League. The competition will feature dynamic bouts in both men’s and women’s categories. The men’s competition begins at 10:00, followed by the women’s competition from 12:30.
The Sokol Plzeň Petřín Fencing Club organizes the next round of the University Fencing League in cooperation with the Czech Association of University Sports and with the support of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. Fencing is a sport built on speed, precision, and tactics. The organizers, therefore, promise visitors a unique sporting experience.
