Further Education Lecture Public
Lifestyle during pregnancy and motherhood, breastfeeding support and self-care - these topics will be the focus of a total of 11 seminars prepared by the Faculty of Health Care Studies of UWB for pregnant and breastfeeding women, women planning pregnancy and future midwives.
The aim of the seminars and the lectors was to increase the health literacy of these groups and to prevent risky behaviour during pregnancy and motherhood through educational activities. Each seminar included or contained one main topic and included practical training and discussions with the participants.
The lecturers at the Faculty of Health Care Studies are planning their last two seminars in the autumn:
On Wednesday, September 11, 2024, from 3 to 5 p.m., a seminar on "Alcohol and Smoking in Pregnancy" will be held under the guidance of the lecturer MUDr. Lukáš Prajka, in room HJ 100 in the Faculty of Health Care Studies building at Husova 11.
The last seminar "Fetal Alcohol Syndrome" will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 also from 3 to 5 p.m. in room HJ 308 in the FZS building. The seminar will again be led by MUDr. Lukáš Prajka.

The principal investigator of the project Support for Healthy Pregnancy, Childbirth, Breastfeeding and Self-Care is Alena Lochmannová, Vice-Dean for Internal and External Relations at the Faculty of Health Care Studies, and the expert guarantor is Lukáš Prajka, a doctor at the University Hospital Plzeň.
The project "Support for Healthy Pregnancy, Childbirth, Breastfeeding and Self-Care", 82/24/PPZ, is implemented with the financial support of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic, Health Promotion, Increasing the Efficiency and Quality of Health Care Programme.
