The traditional autumn mushroom exhibition at the Faculty of Education will take place on Monday, October 20, and Tuesday, October 21, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Center for Biology, Earth Sciences, and Environmental Education. Visitors will see both common and rarer species of mushrooms and learn how to identify and use them.
The annual event is organized in cooperation with the Mycological Club. “We aim to present mushrooms not only as a collector’s curiosity but also as an important part of ecosystems,” said Iva Traxmandlová, head of the Center for Biology, Earth Sciences, and Environmental Education at the Faculty of Education.
As part of the program, visitors can bring their own finds for identification. Experts will answer questions, explain how to distinguish species safely, and share practical tips for mushroom pickers.
The exhibition will take place in classroom UX227a, Univerzitní 22. It is open to the general public – from students and amateur mushroom hunters to experienced professionals.
