Language courses in an intensive format using modern teaching methods is conducted by instructors from the Czech Republic and abroad. In groups with a maximum of 15 students, there is also room for an individual approach.

English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, and Czech for foreigners – seven languages are being offered in more than forty courses at the International Summer Language School this year. There are still available spots, which you can find on the website. So far, 470 participants have registered, which is 50 more than last year.

Courses are prepared at several skill levels – from beginners, through intermediate, to advanced. “In recent years, there has traditionally been great interest in advanced English levels and conversation courses. We were also pleasantly surprised this year by the interest in Spanish and French courses," said Daniela Kopřivová, coordinator of the International Summer Language School.

The participants were welcomed at the ceremonial opening by Miroslav Lávička, the Rector of the University of West Bohemia. “Rectors change, but good events remain. The International Summer Language School is even one year older than the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. It was founded in 1990," he said.

The International Summer Language School will run from July 8 to July 26.
