In this offbeat and cheeky comedy, a pair of not-so-popular high school girls start a fight club to impress a bunch of cheerleaders. Surprisingly, it works. But are they in over their heads? [source: primevideo.com]

This year, movie nights at the University Library include films from the "American High School Comedy Series" and you'll be able to watch how American high school has changed through the generations. The first film gave a glimpse into the world of Generation X, while the next two movie nights belonged to Generations Z and Z-Alpha. The screening will end with a fourth film looking into the world of the youngest generation, Z-Beta.

In the University Library you could see the following films before the screening of the film Bottoms (2023):

• February 19 Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1982)
• March 19 Election (1999)
• April 14 Superbad (2007)

The films will be screened in collaboration with the American Center in Plzeň in English with English subtitles, and each screening will be introduced in English by Bradley Vice, a lecturer at the Faculty of Education specializing in American literature. The screenings will take place in the hall of the Library Bory ( Univerzitní 18) starting at 5:00 p.m.
