A piece of music that was admired even by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Ludwig van Beethoven – that is the Ariadne on Naxos melodrama by the prominent Czech classicist composer Jiří Antonín Benda, which, performed by the chamber orchestra of the Faculty of Education, Consortium Musicum, in cooperation with Pilsen actors, will open the forthcoming academic year. Both university students and staff as well as the public are invited to the concert, which will be held in the main hall of the faculty building on Veleslavínova Street.
