Formula for Jägermeister: A Sutnar Faculty graduate created a unique design

Jonáš Jagerčík, a graduate of the Product Design studio at the Sutnar Faculty, achieved remarkable success in the field of automotive design. For the German automotive branch of Jägermeister, he created a model of the formula that the company currently uses for its presentation.

At the beginning of this project there was the assignment of a diploma thesis - i.e. designing a product for a selected company. "As a car designer with a love for vintage cars and motorsport, I decided to create a car inspired by the old formula. I was looking for possible historical manufacturers and sports brands and decided to contact the Jägermeister company, which is typical for its orange cars," comments Jagerčík on the beginnings of the project. His proposal caught the attention of the German branch of the Jägemeister company, which saw the potential in the project to realize its vision of connecting pop culture, art and design.

After less than a year of intensive work and research, Jagerčík and the Jägermeister company, respectively its automotive division Rennmeister, jointly present a formula model that pays tribute to the brand's rich history while demonstrating the possibilities of contemporary technology and modern design. Jonáš was inspired to create the Formula Rennmeister model by one of Jägermeister's most iconic racing cars from the 1970s, the March 741. It is also interesting that this is the first attempt to reincarnate a vintage Formula 1 on the market. Florian Eisenblatter from Rennmeister evaluates the project succinctly: "Cool and really good job!"

The project was created with the support of the CGI studio ZICHER, with whom the author collaborated on both 3D visualizations and classic sketches, and the Czech company MCAE Systems, which sponsored the production of the model in a scale of 1/6 (70 cm). The diploma thesis was created under the supervision of Petr Siebert from the Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art.

It became a real passion project, involving family, friends and classmates to bring what I created on screen into physical form. MCAE Systems printed the car in 3D and the result is really impressive. Now we just need someone to build the formula in real size," concludes Jonáš Jagerčík.
