New university shop offers a varied choice of products

The university shop on the campus of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen (UWB) has changed significantly over the summer. The old shelf sales are over - replaced by an airy, bright space, openness and a wide range of books and university merch.

Now you can walk between the shelves, discover new books or try on your new university sweatshirt in front of the mirror.

The University Press publishes a wide range of publications. History lovers, those who prefer graphs of supply and demand, as well as those interested in gears and shafts, will find their place here.

The popular book "Tachovská kuchařka receptů, příběhů a vzpomínek" is on offer, thanks to which you can get to know the Tachov region through the tastes, smells and memories of its present and past inhabitants. Thanks to the reprint, the first volume of book "Kolejová vozidla I" by Petr Heller, who is already working intensively on the fourth sequel, is also back. This year's book "Kompendium občanského práva" is also very popular. It was prepared by a team of authors from the Faculty of Law of the University of ZČU headed by Jan Pauly.

Only a few last copies remain of the original and well-written book "Budovat ráj – Bourat peklo: Odraz totality v utopii, dystopii a dieselpunku", written last year by Přemysl Krejčík from the Department of Czech Language. The sad story is told through archaeological findings in the publication "Svědectví archeologie o tzv. cikánském táboře v Letech", which was published in cooperation with the Museum of Romani Culture in Brno.

In the book offer you will not only find titles from the university publishing house, but also popular titles from the Grada publishing house or books dedicated to the Pilsen region from the Starý most publishing house.

The shop on the ground floor of the library also offers university promotional items that play with all colours thanks to the new collection. T-shirts with faculty colours, a student rolling backpack or new tin cans are fun and eye-catching. You can snuggle up in a nice blue university sweatshirt and make it clear which university you are studying at. It is available in both Czech and English and in several sizes.

In addition to clothing, you can buy sports bottles, thermoses, bags, pens, notepads, wireless chargers or even earrings with the university logo. For the playful customers, the shop offers a Rubik's cube or the card game "POSTŘEH!", where you can practice your reflexes.

If you can't get to the university store anytime soon, don't worry. You can order books and university merch via the e-shop. Online payment and cash on delivery are possible. The university shop continues to be one of the branches of Zásilkovna, where you can pick up and send a variety of parcels.
