The future of education, artificial intelligence, and the impact of universities on regional development are among the topics explored in the fourth episode of the GetSmart podcast, produced by the Pilsen Region. This time, the studio welcomed two guests: Miroslav Lávička, Rector of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, and Milan Štengl, Dean of Charles University’s Faculty of Medicine in Pilsen.
Throughout the conversation, both guests make the case that the Pilsen Region is anything but small and that its two universities are not competitors. On the contrary, they work closely together and share the same goal: helping the region and its residents thrive. “The Pilsen Region is one of the regions with a relatively low proportion of people holding a university degree. We must guarantee quality in our graduates,” said UWB Rector Miroslav Lávička.
