For the seventh time, the City of Pilsen has presented awards to exceptional teachers and employees at local pre-schools and elementary schools. The Education Benefactor and Extraordinary Deed in the Pilsen Education Sector Awards were also presented in connection with the provision of aid for children from Ukraine in adaptation groups. The event was organized by the Department of Education, Youth and Sports.

In a separate category, one of the awards was presented to the Faculty of Education at the University of West Bohemia. Its Dean, Pavel Mentlík, the Vice-Dean for PR and Lifelong Learning Michaela Voltrová, and a team of students from the Faculty of Education received certificates of appreciation for providing assistance to Pilsen schools in forming adaptation groups for Ukrainian children. On behalf of the faculty, the award was received by Jan Krotký, Vice-Dean for Education.
