Come to a movie night full of tension, action, and mystery. Let yourself be drawn into a world where there is only one law - "To remain immortal." The film "Highlander" will captivate you with its incredible story and visual effects. Remember, only one can stay alive!

This epic fantasy film will take you into the world of fearless warriors called "Highlanders," who are immortal. In their world, there is only one way to achieve eternal power - by beheading their opponent! The main character, Connor MacLeod, embarks on an endless journey to discover the truth about his immortality and engage in battle with other immortal warriors.

You can look forward to a series of four films during the library's movie nights: on Wednesday, February 21st, "Clash of the Titans" (1981); on Wednesday, March 13th, the cult classic "Conan The Barbarian" (1982); on Wednesday, April 10th, "Highlander" (1986); and finally, on Wednesday, May 15th, "The Princess Bride" (1987).

The films will be screened in collaboration with the American Center in Plzeň in English with Czech subtitles, and each screening will be introduced in English by Bradley Vice, a lecturer at the Faculty of Education specializing in American literature. The screenings will take place in the hall of the Library Bory (Univerzitní 18) starting at 5:00 p.m.
