Faculty of Health Care Studies extended cooperation with the handball club DHC Pilsen

Cooperation Students Employees

The cooperation between the Faculty of Health Care Studies of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen and the DHC Pilsen will expand to include, for example, first aid training, workshops, medical security during tournaments, etc.

At the beginning of February, the Faculty of Health Care Studies in Pilsen discussed the extension of the successful cooperation with the handball club DHC Plzeň, for which the professional assistants of the Faculty of Health Care Studies provide long-term medical supervision during the matches of the MOL League, the highest competition of Czech and Slovak handball players.

Vice-president of the club Jaroslava Šmrhová and the dean of the faculty Jan Beránek defined other possible areas of cooperation during the meeting, namely first aid training or workshops focusing on healthy nutrition, injury prevention, taping, familiarization with the simulation centre of the Faculty of Health Care Studies within the framework of the DHC suburban camp and health security during large tournaments for children and youth organized by the DHC.

The faculty will reciprocally obtain a source of data for the research activity from a sample of girls' and women's sports population and other potential applicants to the stadium at the Faculty of Health Care Studies.

We are looking forward to further cooperation with DHC Pilsen!
