Sreedevi B. T. from the Deggendorf Institute of Technology will present how quantum computers and quantum-inspired methods are expanding possibilities in areas such as quantum chemistry, healthcare, and optimization. The seminar will emphasize the intersection of quantum algorithms and computational fluid dynamics (CFD), particularly where traditional methods face computational limits.

A new 1D quantum lattice Boltzmann method for simulating air pollution dispersion will also be introduced, based on the principle of quantum walks. These approaches demonstrate the practical potential of quantum technologies for applications such as the design of cooling systems, hydrogen storage, and environmental modeling.

The seminar is supported by the Czech-Bavarian project QuantumNetX BYCZ04-183, which promotes cooperation in the field of quantum technologies between the Czech Republic and Bavaria.
