Point of View project turned the Sutnar Faculty into a living lab of graphic design and photography

International Seminar Students

On 19 - 23 February, the Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art became a vibrant hub of graphic design and photography. The Point of View project, led by experts from Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, introduced students to new approaches, techniques, and invaluable international connections.

The Point of View can be seen as a series of educational activities in which foreign experts introduce students to new, non-traditional approaches to graphic design and photography in an innovative pedagogical format.

The main aim of the project was to provide the students with experience that they will benefit from in their further education, in subsequent research projects, in their own work and in their professional careers. It also provided them with valuable international contacts and links to professionals and institutions in the field.

The event was held in cooperation with the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, a German university specialising in artistic and technical disciplines. Led by tutors Adrian Palko, Masihne Rasuli, Pio Rahner and Marcel Saidov, the students engaged in an intensive programme that included two parallel cycles of lectures and workshops.

This unique format allowed the exchange of knowledge and immediate feedback from experts in the field of graphic design and photography.

"It was a great project that had a significant impact on me personally. I think the outcome is of a very high quality, and I am very happy with this workshop. The teachers were very supportive and helpful, and I also want to acknowledge the excellent attitude and assistance from our faculty staff, who made an incredible effort," said one of the participants about the busy week.

The project concluded with an exhibition of student work in the Incubator Gallery on the ground floor of the faculty building. The exhibition will be open until 22 March.

The Point of View was not just a one-off event, but rather the basis for future cooperation between the Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art and the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. The established partnership continues and will enhance opportunities for students from both institutions in the future.

The project is co-funded by the European Union through the National Recovery Plan and by the Ministry of Culture.
