The conference began with a traditional meeting of law theory departments from universities in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The first and third days were held in the modern Mariel Hotel in the centre of Znojmo, while the second day was exceptionally located in the historical premises of the Louka Monastery, namely in the newly renovated library on the second floor. The event was attended by more than 70 participants from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary. Doc. Cvrček, the head of the organizing Department of Theory of Law of the Faculty of Law of ZČU, expressed his intention at the beginning to organize another meeting in 2 years in Znojmo again and to expand it to other workplaces from Central Europe, including Poland, Hungary and Austria.
The conference programme started on Tuesday 11 June at 14:30 with presentations by representatives of the departments of public universities in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Neither colleagues from Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica nor any private universities in Slovakia with accreditation to teach law attended. The presentations included information about the departments, staffing, teaching and current challenges. In Olomouc, each course is delivered with at least one online seminar group. This was followed by the first three presentations from Metamorphosis (Prof. Beran, Assoc. Maršálek, Dr. Koloušek), and the day culminated with the baptism of the collective monograph Legal Argumentation, prepared by editors Sobek, Kotásek and Hapla from Brno.
The conference and the meeting concluded on Thursday morning at the Mariel Hotel with the last conference papers and the re-invitation of Assoc. Cvrček to meet again in 2 years, this time with even more participants. The complimentary reactions of the participants to the whole course of the meeting and the conference suggest that this invitation will be heeded.
