The Job Opportunities Fair at the University of West Bohemia will fill the campus with employers

Alumni Students Press Release

The 29th edition of the popular event will take place on March 20 from 10 am to 4 pm at the campus of the University of West Bohemia.

Students, both male and female, graduates, and alumni of the University of West Bohemia (UWB) will have the opportunity to kick-start their futures in the right direction on Wednesday, March 20. The campus at Borská pole will host the 29th edition of the Job Opportunities Fair at UWB, where over 120 Czech and foreign employers will be presented.

The Job Opportunities Fair is organized by the Student Union of UWB, which brings together all students and graduates, in collaboration with the student organization IAESTE UWB. Employer booths will be set up at the premises of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, and the Faculty of Applied Sciences. The fair will start at 10 am and end at 4 pm. The opening ceremony at the entrance of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering will be led by the rector of UWB, Miroslav Lávička, as well as representatives from the Plzeň Region, the city of Pilsen, and the Labor Office.

Over 120 companies will be presenting themselves, including the UWB in the role of an employer, as usual. Recruiters will offer students and graduates various job opportunities, ranging from participation in trainee programs, part-time jobs, to full-time employment. Personnel managers will also traditionally offer collaboration through internships, practical experience, or opportunities to collaborate on thesis projects. "Throughout the day, there will be accompanying programs at many booths, such as competitions for prizes," says Petr Břicháček from the Student Union, adding that in terms of the number of exhibitors, the fair is the largest event of its kind in the Czech Republic.

Based on experiences from previous editions, organizers recommend that everyone planning to attend the fair should create or update their resumes and clarify in advance what they are actually interested in. As always, the fair guide, available in print form upon entry to any building and also downloadable or browsable online, will assist them with this.
