The Department of Music Education and Culture of the Faculty of Education UWB and the Pilsen Student Symphony Orchestra invite you to a festive concert on Tuesday, December 17, at 7:00 PM in St. Bartholomew’s Cathedral on Republic Square in Pilsen. Under the baton of conductor Albert Pechman, the iconic piece of Czech musical tradition—Czech Christmas Mass by Jakub Jan Ryba—will be performed.
The concert will feature soloists from the Pilsen Conservatory, the Pilsen Academic Choir composed of students from the Faculty of Education, and the Student Symphony Orchestra, also consisting of students from the University of West Bohemia.
Join us to experience the magical atmosphere of Advent, celebrate the end of the winter semester, and be swept away by melodies that have symbolized the joy and peace of Christmas for centuries.
For those concerned about the colder environment of the cathedral, the same program will be performed during a public dress rehearsal on December 11 at 10:00 AM in the Faculty of Education’s auditorium on Veleslavínova Street in Pilsen.
