The Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art offers prospective students a unique opportunity to prepare for the DEMO entrance exams. This program simulates the admission process and is part of the Path to Sutnarka series, which helps applicants transition into the faculty. This series includes the summer ArtCamp, an Open Day, and an art competition for high school students and their teachers called Teendesign.
What does the DEMO entrance exam offer? Participants can practice preparing their portfolios, familiarize themselves with the types of tasks they will encounter during the talent exams, and explore the faculty environment, including studios and faculty members. "I’m pleased that all twenty-one Sutnarka studios are participating in this year’s DEMO entrance exams," says Marta Kollerová, Vice-Dean for academic and pedagogical affairs. "This gives applicants the chance to try out the exact field they wish to study in the future."
The DEMO entrance exam program includes two online meetings with teachers, where applicants receive valuable feedback on their portfolios and completed tasks. It’s important to emphasize that the DEMO entrance exams do not affect or replace the official admission process but provide invaluable experience and preparation for the real exam.
Applicants can find complete instructions for participation on the faculty’s website. The DEMO entrance exams will be followed by an Open Day, held on Friday, November 8, 2024. During the Open Day, applicants can take advantage of personal consultations with teachers to clarify whether their chosen specialization is the right fit.
The DEMO entrance exams offer a great opportunity for anyone considering studying at Sutnarka. They provide a realistic view of the studies and help applicants better prepare for the actual admission process.
