In addition to Pilsen, U3V UWB is also present in 20 other cities in the Pilsen, Karlovy Vary, and South Bohemian regions. Registration there starts later, usually at the beginning of September. "For some branches, we have newly made electronic registration available on the reservation portal this year," said Kristýna Straková, education coordinator at U3V branches. "In September, we are also opening a new branch in Horšovský Týn, where those interested in studying can look forward to the pilot program Chapters from the Horšovský Týn Estate," she added.

All branches also offer the option of registering in person. Those interested in studying can find the dates on the website. U3V is intended for all seniors and people with a third degree of disability who want to develop their knowledge, spend their time actively, and stay in touch with current events.

However, it is also possible to study from the comfort of your own home. This year, there are 12 online courses on offer. "In addition to programs focused on history, in the coming academic year, those interested can study genealogy, astronomy, delve into the study of mushrooms, train their memory, or study a new program on the human body and its ability to heal itself," said the head of U3V.

The University of the Third Age at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen will begin its 34th academic year in September. It was founded in 1992. Last academic year, 2,852 students enrolled, which was a record number. The organizers hope that interest will be similar this year.
