The largest job fair of its kind will take place right in the centre of student and university events - on the campus in Pilsen at Bory. The premises of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Applied Sciences will be used for exhibiting and presenting 120 employers. The fair is organised by the student organisation IAESTE UWB and the Student Union of UWB in Pilsen.
The 30th Job Fair is a unique opportunity not only for students, but also for employers, who often find it difficult to find new quality job candidates in the face of long-term low unemployment. "At the fair, their recruiters will meet motivated and theoretically well-prepared students, who otherwise tend to be quickly dismantled before they finish their studies," explains Petr Břicháček from the Students' Union. Nearly 4,000 students and graduates visit the fair every year.
Recruiters will offer students and graduates a variety of job opportunities, from cooperation on trainee programmes to temporary jobs to permanent employment. Recruiters also traditionally offer cooperation in the form of internships, apprenticeships or theses. "We offer academic, scientific, as well as technical, economic and manual positions. The employment of students and graduates in the prestigious environment of the university offers interesting career opportunities across disciplines, in multinational scientific teams and in many other diverse professions," added Štěpánka Pirnosová, head of the Human Resources Department at UWB.
In order to prevent a visit to the fair from becoming just a aimless wandering between stands, the organisers advise those interested to prepare in advance. According to them, the basic thing is to update your CV. The fair guide will also help with clarifying which positions they are interested in.
