Where does reality end and where does the human brain begin creating reality? How do technologies transform our perception and consciousness? The first edition of the international UNIMMERSUM conference will seek answers on October 23rd at the Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art, University of West Bohemia in Pilsen.
The meeting will bring together artists, researchers, and students working with immersive technologies in contemporary art, design, and their application in other social fields. The conference will feature Brazilian artist Ottis Ots, who combines graffiti with augmented reality, Hungarian researcher Fanni Fazakas, and British creator Christian Venables, whose portfolio includes collaborations with Disney and Cartier. Presentations will also be given by scientist, designer, and educator Laze Tripkov, as well as artist and FDU doctoral student Michal Poustka.
The conference will open a critical dialogue about how immersive media transform our perception of the world.
