The event is organised by the Pilsen university in cooperation with the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice and the Czech Academy of Sciences. A total of eight topics based on doctoral dissertations will be presented on Wednesday, 25 February from 12:00 at the UWB Faculty of Arts, as part of a seminar focused on current research and prospects in archaeology. The meeting is held within the Doctoral School of Archaeology, organised since 2019 by the Department of Archaeology of the Faculty of Arts at the University of West Bohemia in cooperation with the University of South Bohemia and the Czech Academy of Sciences.

The seminar is not part of the standard teaching programme. In addition to doctoral students, other students, teachers, supervisors and members of doctoral boards also regularly attend. This time, participants can look forward to two blocks, each with four different contributions followed by a discussion on the topics presented.
