The author, Jitka Bílková from the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of ZČU, presents in the book an important personality who was an integral and significant part of the cultural life of Pilsen for several decades. Frank Wenig was a writer who significantly co-shaped the character of the puppet characters of Spejbl and Hurvínek, the author of dozens of plays, books, radio programmes, hundreds of newspaper articles and the editor of several newspapers.
Blovice was not chosen for the book launch by chance, but thanks to the connections of the personalities mentioned in the book: Wenig's friend Josef Skupa used to come here for the summer, other friends of Wenig's were also related to Blovice or the southern Pilsen region, such as Bohumil Krs, Josef Hodek or Václav Valenta-Alfa, whom Wenig used to visit in Blovice; V. Valenta-Alfa was also Wenig's colleague in the magazine Mladá stráž and co-author of the play Hrdina Feďka. The author of the book is also no stranger to Blovice - she gave several lectures at Hradiště Castle and her treatise on the play Hrdina Feďka and the collaboration of F. Wenig with V. Valenta-Alfa was published in the Museum's proceedings.
