Events, projects, trips. The newly established student organization EUPSA UWB Pilsen opens its ranks to all those who are interested in changing the university environment. And it is launching a competition for the best photo, painting and student project with a prize of a trip to Limoges.

At a meeting in Calabria, Italy, in May, representatives of the EUPeace Alliance gave the final shape to the new local EUPSA UWB Pilsen branch. It became a new student organisation operating at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen and linked to the international EUPSA alliance organisation on 2 June. The students involved will be able to create and organise events and projects as long as they are in line with the values of the alliance, which include Peace, Justice and Inclusive societies. The members will be involved in creating the student environment not only at UWB but at all nine universities within the alliance.

Virtually anyone can join EUPSA - students, academics and organisations - just fill in the form. A student project or event here can be organizing a conference, debate, workshop, conducting a survey, organizing a cultural event or creating a podcast. In addition, members of the organisation will regularly travel to universities involved in the EUPeace alliance to network and meet face-to-face with colleagues from abroad. "The next event that the students from EUPSA UWB Pilsen will go to is the student festival at the French University of Limoges, which will take place on 20-24 October. The most active students will be able to participate for us, for whom the trip will be fully funded by the alliance," said Matěj Líbal, a student at the Faculty of Arts of the University of West Bohemia.

"Within the framework of EUPSA UWB Pilsen, we are therefore launching several competitions in the categories of painting, photography and local project on the themes of Peace, Justice and Inclusive Societies. The winners will have priority right to participate in the festival in Limoges, with one place already secured in advance by the DJ," said Lenka Pekárková, coordinator of student associations from the Department of Student and Teaching Activities at UWB.

All details and requirements for the competitions can be found on the UWB EUPeace page.
