FZS student dominated the classic power triathlon at the Academic Championship of the Czech Republic

Michaela Kanátová, a 3rd year student of Radiological Assistance at the Faculty of Health Care Studies, took 1st place in the power triathlon and 3rd place in the women's overall ranking at the AM Czech Republic in Liberec. Congratulations!

Michaela Kanátová, a 3rd year student of Radiological Assistance, once again shone on the podium and took an excellent 1st place in the classical power triathlon and 3rd place in the overall women's ranking at the Academic Championship of the Czech Republic, which took place on 1st June in Liberec.

160 kg squat, 80 kg benchpress and 170 kg deadlift (410 kg in total) - these are Michaela's excellent results with which she won the 1st place. In Liberec she competed in the women's category up to 76 kg. "It was the last AM of the Czech Republic for the Faculty of Health Care Studies and also for UWB, so I hope I gave our faculty and the university a good name," Michaela evaluates her achievements at the championship.

The Academic Championships of the Czech Republic, organized by the Czech Association of University Sports, are student sports competitions in which university students participate in more than 50 sports disciplines each year.

Michaela started competing at the age of 14, she participated in regional competitions, Czech Championships, European Championships and World Championships. In 2023 Michaela won the AM Czech Republic in the classic powerlifting triathlon, which nominated her for the European Universiade held in early March 2024, where the student placed 6th with a performance of 397,5 kg.
