Talk Further Education Public

A panel discussion with experts will take place as part of the ENDOmarch 2024 awareness campaign.

On Thursday 25th April at 17:30, the Faculty of Health Care Studies of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen will host a panel discussion Every cycle - a different story. The event, intended for the general public, will present a gynaecological malignant disease that mainly affects women of reproductive age.

The discussion will take place as part of the 4th year of the global awareness campaign ENDOmarch2024 organised by the patient organisation ENDO Talks CZ, z.s. in cooperation with the Gynaecology and Obstetrics Clinic of the University Hospital in Pilsen.

In endometriosis, tissue similar to the uterine lining is found in places other than the uterus, most commonly in the abdominal cavity and pelvis. Four forms of endometriosis can be distinguished, each with different manifestations and consequences, and therefore the procedures for diagnosis and therapy also differ. The main symptoms of this disease are very painful menstruation, infertility, chronic fatigue, painful sex, digestive problems and abdominal pain even outside the menstrual period.

The panel debate will be attended by Jiří Presl, Head of the Gynaecology and Obstetrics Clinic at the University Hospital in Pilsen, Lukáš Prajka, a physician at the University Hospital in Pilsen, Gabriela Tuatti, a phytotherapist and naturopath, Lenka Chuchutová , a physiotherapist, and Kristýna Šlajchová and Lucie Růžičková, patients and volunteers of the ENDO Talks CZ patient organisation.

We are very pleased to be able to host this panel discussion, which will allow experts to share their knowledge of endometriosis with the general public.
