On October 8th and 9th, a grand autumn graduation ceremony at Kozel Castle near Pilsen marked the completion of studies for 253 out of 476 graduates of the Faculty of Education at the University of West Bohemia. Approximately half of them completed master's and follow-up master's programs, while the other half finished their bachelor's studies. They now become part of the large family of graduates from the Faculty of Education—the oldest faculty at the University of West Bohemia, which celebrated its 75th anniversary last year.

A large portion of successful bachelor's degree students are continuing with follow-up master's studies, while some graduates are heading directly into practice, for example, in the fields of Early Childhood Education or Special Education.

Among the new graduates of the master's program in Primary Education, women prevail— 78 of them have decided to dedicate themselves to this demanding but incredibly important profession. Although male teachers at the primary level are still few in number, two male graduates also received their degrees this year, indicating that primary school teaching is not solely a domain for women. Most of the new masters have already started, or will soon start, working in schools.

A significant number of graduates who achieved outstanding academic results also celebrated their successes. A total of 94 of them received red scrolls with diplomas with honors.

The Faculty of Education looks forward to future cooperation with its graduates, whether in supervising student internships or in the context of lifelong learning. The faculty alumni club is open to all who wish to maintain contact with the University of West Bohemia.
