Members of the Department of English Language and Literature attended a conference in Hradec Králové

Members of the Department of English Language and Literature, Faculty of Arts UWB presented their research at the University of Hradec Králové. They had a welcome opportunity to share their insight with other experts from the fields of English literature, didactics, culture studies and linguistics.

On 21-22 March, the Faculty of Education of the University of Hradec Králové hosted an international meeting of English scholars titled Hradec Králové Anglophone Conference.

At this traditional event devoted to linguistics, literature, didactics, and cultural studies, KAJ representatives, this time consisting of Ivona Mišterová, Alice Tihelková, and Tomáš Hostýnek, could not be missing. They presented papers on Shakespearean studies, British media analysis as well as popular culture.

As every year, this conference was an opportunity to strengthen contacts with fellow English scholars from Czech and foreign universities, which was also complemented by a rich accompanying programme.
