Conference Cooperation Students
During this event, which was held at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering for the fifth time, students from high schools had a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of electrical engineering and work on their own projects under the guidance of experienced teachers from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. At the same time, they were able to fully experience the university atmosphere during their daily stay on campus. ScienceFEL Academy was held with the support of the Pilsen Region.
For one week in November, young technology enthusiasts worked in teams on diverse projects in electrical engineering, energy, electrochemistry, acoustics, programming, and smart textiles. Specifically, each team worked on a robotic band playing real acoustic and electric musical instruments, a model of a smart eco-house, a presentation glove, electronic patches, a guitar amplifier, or delved into the secrets of modern electrochemistry.
The highlight of this year's ScienceFEL Academy was the final conference, which took place in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering auditorium. Seven teams had the opportunity to present their projects, on which their members worked hard. The audience had the chance to ask questions and discuss the innovations and technological challenges that the teams had addressed.
This year's ScienceFEL Academy saw record participation. A total of twenty-two students from six high schools gathered at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering UWB to present their ideas and projects. The organizers believe that this event helps young people develop their technological skills and, at the same time, breaks down myths about the lack of interest in technical fields. Last but not least, it prepares them for future studies and careers in the electrical engineering sector.
ScienceFEL Academy 2023 was once again a successful gathering of future hopefuls who bring innovative ideas and share a passion for electrical engineering. We look forward to next year's edition!
