Graduates of the Faculty of Law at ZČU praise the emphasis on critical thinking and practice

Dozens of this year's graduates of the Faculty of Law of ZČU evaluated the level of teaching and the quality of acquired knowledge. Every year the faculty surveys them for satisfaction and suggestions for improvement. Take a look at how they fared.

All this year's graduates of Bachelor's and Master's programmes had the opportunity to anonymously fill in a written questionnaire and evaluate the course of their studies at the Faculty of Law of ZČU from the beginning of January to the end of July 2024. More than a third of this year's graduates took part in the survey.

The majority of graduates of the Law and Legal Science, Legal Specialization and Public Administration programmes gave the faculty a grade of excellent or very good. Graduates of the Law and Legal Studies Master's programme rated their ability to think critically, their ability to apply ethical principles in practice and their ability to self-educate as excellent. Graduates of the Master's in Public Administration and the Bachelor's in Legal Specialisation rated communication skills necessary for practice, the ability to apply ethical principles in practice, organisational skills and the ability to self-educate.

Graduates positively evaluated the friendly and personal approach of the teachers and other staff, the family atmosphere and the practitioner teachers. The overwhelming majority of them would choose to study at the Faculty of Law of ZČU again. Here you can read selected comments of the respondents:

"The study was very pleasant and I recommend this faculty more than other schools."

"The study and in general the attitude of the school and the cantors towards the students was very warm. I would have focused more on the compulsory internships as part of my studies and other practical experiences."

"Positives: the friendliness of the lecturers and the Study Department, the possibility to choose the date of the exam and the lecturer, the possibility of Erasmus and practical courses. Negatives: occasional unprofessional attitude of examiners."

The survey also revealed that most students are already working or have a job promised at the end of their studies and therefore have no problem finding employment.
