UWB launches a questionnaire survey regarding safety at the university

Students University Employees

The University of West Bohemia is to take part in the EU-funded UniSAFE international project, whose aim is to contribute to increasing safety at universities and research organizations. Data will be collected online among students and staff until March 13. Participation is completely anonymous.

The aim of the UniSAFE research, which is held at more than 45 universities in 15 European countries, is to better understand the prevalence of gender-based violence at universities and research organizations. Gender-based violence is violence directed towards individuals because of their gender or gender identity. It is not limited to violence against women, and it may affect all people.

This research is intended for all students and staff, whether they have encountered some form of violence or not. Each participant will contribute to creating measurable evidence of the situation.

The UniSAFE project team is aware of the personal and sensitive nature of this research and puts ethics at the forefront of its activities. All data gathered via this survey are completely anonymized, with no possibility of re-identifying individuals, and aggregated to rule out any potential breach of confidentiality.

The results of the survey, the largest of its kind conducted in the research sector in Europe, will be combined with qualitative evidence and used in creating strategies and policies in the given area.

Please take part in the survey by filling out the questionnaire. It will take approximately 20 minutes to complete.

UWB thanks all those who choose to participate in this survey.
