Head of the Department of Physiotherapy at the Faculty of Health Sciences Silvi Frenkel-Toledo, Dean of the same Faculty Prof. Ofira Einstein and Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities Prof. Uzi Ben-Shalom from Ariel University in Israel visited the Faculty of Health Care Studies of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen on 14th and 15^th March.

This was the first visit to the Faculty of Health Care Studies and Pilsen, but the third visit to the Czech Republic. Ariel University established a partnership with the Faculty of Health Care Studies in April 2022 with the aim of cultural, educational and research cooperation in the fields of physiotherapy, occupational therapy and general nursing.

Silvi Frenkel-Toledo and Ofira Einstein represented the health sciences and Uzi Ben-Shalom represented the social sciences during the meeting. They discussed a future summer school in the field of physiotherapy, and another outcome of the meeting is the agreement on several scientific research projects based on linking the health and social sciences. Last but not least, both parties agreed to intensify their cooperation.

The Israeli colleagues very much welcomed the tour of the university campus and the Faculty of Health Care Studies, the presentation of the faculty's professional classrooms and the simulation centre along with the teaching equipment specific to each field of study. As this was also their first visit to Pilsen, the colleagues also participated to a tour of the historic city centre of Pilsen with its local sights.

We are looking forward to other collaboration with Ariel University again!
