Laboratories and lecture halls were bursting at the seams or the Open Day in Pilsen is over

University Public Education

Instruments, simulators, artwork, chemistry experiments and lectures. Although the end of the exam period is underway, the last Tuesday in January was lively at the university - crowds of interested students had the opportunity to take a peek under the hood of university life.

Thousands of people came to the Open Day of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen (DOD ZČU) on Tuesday 28 January to soak up the atmosphere of the university environment, to see the classrooms, laboratories and other areas of the university and, above all, to learn about studying and the admission procedure. Those interested in studying at the university were welcomed by all 9 faculties and several other departments of the university located on the campus in Bory and in the city centre. Both final year high school students and junior high school students visited the DOD. UWB also welcomed visitors a day earlier in Cheb and on 29 January in Karlovy Vary.

A large number of teachers and students from the University of Pilsen were involved in the day-long event, helping the incoming applicants to choose a suitable field of study, explaining how and when to apply, showing the university's workplaces, laboratories, equipment and the possibilities that the University of Technology as a whole offers, whether it is trips abroad, sports or language studies.

After attending the Open Day, the next step for applicants is to apply in time to be able to study at UWB from September. It is already possible to apply for Bachelor's, Master's and postgraduate study programmes. Detailed information can be found here.
