Jiří Frei is the new candidate for Dean of the Faculty of Health Care Studies

The Academic Senate of the Faculty of Health Care Studies of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen has elected Jiří Frei as a candidate for Dean of the Faculty. 8 senators out of the 12-member senate voted for him. To be elected, it was necessary to obtain a supermajority of votes from all.

During his four-year term of office, Jiří Frei would like to focus on maintaining the teaching of individual study programmes, their staffing and technical support, research support, creative activities and related support for staff in improving their qualifications. "I want the Faculty of Health Care Studies of the University of West Bohemia to be a top teaching facility for future health professionals and an attractive faculty for our students. As part of a long-term plan, I would like to see us expand our study programmes to include adequate master's studies," said Jiří Frei about his priorities in office. Until now, he has worked at the faculty as a lecturer at the Department of Nursing and Midwifery, until last year he held the position of head of this department.

The rector of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen will decide on the appointment to the position of dean.
