The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering is organizing a summer school called eNCéčko

Further Education Students Public

Practical CNC programming, working with CAM software, and gaining valuable experience from experts in the field. The summer school of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering focused on machining will take place from July 21 to July 25.

The Department of Machining Technology at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering has decided to organize the first annual summer school named eNCéčko this year. It will be held directly in the faculty building on the university campus. The summer school is designed for students in the 3rd to 4th year of secondary school. "We expect that students from vocational schools might be particularly interested, but we will start from the basics, so other high school students should not hesitate to apply," clarified instructor Jiří Hruška, a Czech champion in CNC milling and also a student at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering with a focus on machining technologies.

Participants will experience an intensive week-long course filled with practical experience. They will learn the basics and more advanced techniques of working in CAM software, try their hand at workshop programming of CNC machines, find out what CNC programming looks like in practice, and gain valuable experience from experts in the field. They will be moving around in a state-of-the-art laboratory of the Department of Machining Technology, where numerous research activities take place during the academic year, and thus will get a taste of the university environment in advance.

Participant fee: 1,000 CZK (includes lunch and professional resources)

Apply through the eNCéčko summer school website until May 31.
