The nine-member group headed by the Dean of the Faculty of
Chemical Technology and Economics Professor Philipp Keil represented the campus
in Burghausen on the German-Austrian border. In addition to education in the
field of entrepreneurial economics, this workplace also offers study in other
areas, such as chemical technology, chemotronics or environmental technology.
Vice-rector for internationalization Dita Hommerová welcomed
the guests to UWB’s campus, and members of the Faculties of Economics, Applied
Sciences and Engineering along with the International Office took part in
discussions with them. “We have a bilateral agreement within the Erasmus+
program with TH Rosenheim,” said the Faculty of Economics’ Vice-dean for
internationalization and external affairs Jiří Preis. “During the joint
meeting, various opportunities for expanding cooperation, for example in
cross-border projects, were discussed not only with our faculty, but also with
our colleagues from the Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Applied
Sciences,” he added.
Members of the delegation also had the opportunity to meet
with students over the course of the day. Professor Silvia Seibold gave a
presentation for the subject KMO/MSA (Marketing studies and analyses),
lecturing on marketing to students in their post-graduate master’s studies at
the Faculty of Economics. The whole program was also simultaneously interpreted
into Czech and German. The group of nine guests ended their visit with a tour
of the campus in Bory and also took a trip to the RTI research center.
