On Monday, January 29th, in Cheb and online, and on Tuesday, January 30th, in Pilsen.
Prospective students, graduates, and anyone from the public had the opportunity to get to know the University of West Bohemia up close on January 29th and 30th. The traditional Open Day took place, during which all faculties and other departments were presented.
The Open Day started on Monday, January 29th, from 10 am to 12 pm at the Cheb branch, where the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Education are located. It continued with an evening live broadcast from the Pilsen campus. The university library once again transformed into a studio, offering over an hour of live streaming featuring an interview with the rector Miroslav Lávička, a series of videos introducing individual faculties, and other discussions focused on the Information and Advisory Center of the West Bohemian University, the International Office, the Institute of Language Preparation, and also sports at the university. Viewers could ask questions related to admission conditions, study offerings, or the study itself in the YouTube chat, where the broadcast, including answers, can be viewed in the recording.
The broadcast served as an invitation to the following day. On Tuesday, January 30th, the doors of all faculties in Pilsen were open, and visitors could explore the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, the Faculty of Applied Sciences, the Faculty of Economics, and the Faculty of Design and Art named after Ladislav Sutnar. In the buildings of the center of Pilsen, the Faculty of Education, the Faculty of Philosophy, the Faculty of Law, and the Faculty of Health Studies were also available for visits. The Institute of Language Preparation and the Information and Advisory Center also participated.
The Open Day was accompanied by the website dod.zcu.cz, which remains available to those interested in studying at the University of West Bohemia. It provides essential information about faculties, the entire university, study offerings, and the option to submit an application.
