Eva Martincová a David Kardian, students of the Faculty of Philosophy at ZČU studying French at the Department of Romance Languages, went on a four-month internship to the Czech Centre in Paris on rue Bonaparte in 2023, where they participated in many interesting cultural projects. At the Czech Centre, they organized openings, concerts or other projects, wrote articles for the website, or were available to artists who collaborated with the Centre.

For example, in October 2023, Eva Martincová participated in the organisation of an exhibition in connection with the launch of Gerard Lo Monaco's book, which was inspired by Ladislav Sutnar. This exhibition featured, among other things, the work of students from the Faculty of Design and Art of Ladislav Sutnar University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. During November and December, the Photo Saint Germain festival took place in Paris, in which the Czech Centre was also involved, with an exhibition of Czech and French women photographers. During this period, the Czech Centre also hosted an exhibition of the Czech glass artist Jiří Pačínek, which featured his unique glass garden.

In the spring of 2023, David Kardian helped with the preparation of a puppet performance by the Naive Theatre from Liberec, with the organization of jazz concerts and exhibitions featuring artists such as Kateřina Piňosová and Guy Girard.

Both students recall with great enthusiasm their stay at the Czech Centre in Paris, which would not have been possible without the financial support of the University of West Bohemia and the generosity of the director of the Czech Centre in Paris, Mr. Jiří Hnilica.
