The Counseling Center invites you to Kulturka in the center of Pilsen on Tuesday, December 1, at 17:00 for a workshop on mindful presence. Participants can look forward to a blend of the traditional Chinese Gongfu Cha tea ceremony, mindfulness principles, and nonviolent communication. Held at a slower pace, the gathering will allow students and university staff alike to taste, perceive, and create space for their own inner experience and a quiet mind.
Eva Žáčková will lead the workshop. She is the mind behind the community project Tea Therapy (Terapie čajem), which provides a space for offline gatherings over tea. At Kulturka, she will show that tea can be appreciated beyond a quick judgment of whether we like or dislike the taste.
She will guide participants to engage all their senses and explore what happens inside them before the usual automatic reaction kicks in. Once people learn to recognize this mental space during a tea session, it becomes much easier to apply the same principle to everyday life - in daily communication, interpersonal relationships, and decision-making under pressure.
Capacity for the workshop is limited, and registration via this form is required to attend.
