The debate will offer insight into the strategic thinking of the Ministry – how concepts, implementation plans, and priorities for the coming years are developed. “We will compare this planning process with how the Faculty of Education and the University prepare their own strategies,” said Pavel Mentlík, Dean of the Faculty of Education at UWB and one of the speakers. Alongside the dean, Ludmila Třeštíková, Head of the Strategies Department within the Education and Youth Section of MŠMT, will also share her perspective.

These and other topics will be part of the panel discussion MŠMT and the Faculty of Education, UWB in Dialogue, which will take place on Monday, November 10, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the FPE Auditorium (VC-301).

The goal of the discussion is to open a professional dialogue between the Strategic Department of Regional Education at MŠMT and the Faculty on trends, challenges, and priorities in teacher education. “We want to present the Ministry’s current initiatives and, at the same time, highlight the role of the Faculty of Education as one of the key partners in implementing them,” Mentlík added.

The discussion is intended for academic staff, students, and practicing teachers who wish to better understand the direction of Czech education and how MŠMT’s strategic documents influence the preparation of future teachers.
