The Center of Physical Education and Sports, Faculty of Education welcomed children from the Children's Group Na Zelené louce – Montessori Plzeň on Wednesday, March 27. Varied exercise activities with the motivation of spring and the coming Easter were prepared for them by students of the 2nd year of the bachelor's study of pre-school and out-of-school pedagogy within the subject Theory and didactics of health physical education under the guidance of assistant professor Petra Špottová.

The children also toured the premises of the Faculty of Education, some classrooms, the gym at Klatovská street, the gym, and visited the office of the head of the Center of Physical Education and Sports, Petr Valach. They liked it at the 'big school' and according to their teacher Pavla Kemrová, "they will come to practice again sometime".

The aim of this collaboration is to connect theory with practice and especially support movement activities of all age groups from early childhood. In childhood, movement is even necessary for proper growth and healthy development. Its deficiency has a negative impact on the overall health of the individual.

"We try to convey the principles and skills for conducting playful and motivated exercises to students studying not only pre-school and out-of-school pedagogy, but also to first-year teaching students and, of course, students focused on physical education, so that they can effectively support the health and development of their future students," says for the Center of Physical Education and Sports, Faculty of Education, Petra Špottová.
