The Faculty of Design and Art of the UWB invites students and professionals to a workshop. Participants can debate the position of ornament in the context of contemporary graphic design on Thursday, December 11th.

The workshop Possibilities of Ornament in Contemporary Graphic Design – Breakfast of Champions is part of the project The Position of Ornament in Contemporary Aesthetics of Visual Language by doctoral student Tereza Kovářová. The project is funded by Grant Support for Doctoral Students at the Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art, University of West Bohemia.

During the workshop on the morning of December 11th, participants will be presented with the current partial results of the research on ornament in the context of contemporary graphic design. The program also includes an introduction to the theoretical framework of the project and the artistic outputs to date. The creative part of the workshop in a prepared testing environment, along with a questionnaire survey, is intended to verify and further develop the methodological procedures of the entire research.
