Meditation is not just sitting in silence, but also movement and relaxation. That is precisely what participants will discover during a series of five loosely connected workshops led by experienced instructor Veronika Nováková. Both students and university staff are welcome to attend. The workshops will take place every Thursday from 6:00 PM to 7:15 PM and are completely free of charge.
The first session kicks off on November 5 and will introduce participants to what meditation is and how to get started. The next meeting on November 12 will present dynamic meditation to help release built-up tension in the body. The third workshop on November 19 will showcase walking meditation, open awareness, and the loving-kindness technique. The final November session, a week later, will feature the Nadabrahma sound/vocal meditation technique. The workshop series will conclude on December 3 with a final session focused on breathing techniques, gratitude, and an overall review of the skills acquired. The full program of the meditation cycle is available in this document.
Participants can attend all sessions or choose the topics that appeal to them most. However, capacity is limited, so registration is required. Comfortable clothing is recommended for attendance.
