In collaboration with the American Center in Plzeň, the University Library invites you to movie nights at the Library Bory. The fourth film to be screened will be "The Princess Bride" (1987).

Buttercup and Westley swore their love to each other. However, fate separates them, and the path to their wedding leads through fairy-tale giants, pirates, and miracle-workers.

"The Princess Bride" is a film that will surely make you laugh and warm your heart. The movie is based on the book of the same name by acclaimed writer and award-winning screenwriter William Goldman.

You can look forward to a series of four films during the library's movie nights: on Wednesday, February 21st, "Clash of the Titans" (1981); on Wednesday, March 13th, the cult classic "Conan The Barbarian" (1982); on Wednesday, April 10th, "Highlander" (1986); and finally, on Wednesday, May 15th, "The Princess Bride" (1987).

The films will be screened in collaboration with the American Center in Plzeň in English with Czech subtitles, and each screening will be introduced in English by Bradley Vice, a lecturer at the Faculty of Education specializing in American literature. The screenings will take place in the hall of the Library Bory (Univerzitní 18) starting at 5:00 p.m.
