"Way leading to the north", the original name for Norway, will be undertaken by Czech team members as part of the year-long project Management of Science and Sociology – Norwegian-Czech Cooperation (reg. no. EHP-BFNU-OVNKM-4-108-2022) funded in the 4th Open Call for Bilateral Funds under the EEA and Norway Grants 2014-2021. The project was awarded to the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Arts, University of West Bohemia in Pilsen in collaboration with the Department of Sociology, Andragogy and Cultural Anthropology of the Faculty of Arts of Palacký University. On the other hand, Norwegian partners from Oslo Metropolitan University will visit the Czech Republic. The main researchers and representatives of the mentioned institutions are Prof. Jan Váně from the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, Prof. Dušan Lužný from Palacký University in Olomouc and Dr. Pal Veiden from Oslo Metropolitan University.  What exactly is the topic of the project? Management of Science. 

The project is linked to the newly established field of Management of Science, thanks to which the students of this field will be the first ones to whom the results of mutual cooperation will be communicated during the course and with whom possible further ways of cooperation will be discussed. The main goal of the project is to share experiences and good practices of the Norwegian and Czech sides in the fields of management of science and sociology, not only during study internships abroad. The results of the mutual cooperation will be the content of a subsequent a scientific study, which is one of the outputs of the project.  The project will conclude with an international conference at Palacký University in Olomouc.
